Located only 200 metres from the Santa Ponsa sandy beach, the hotel is made of 2 building -an 8 storey one and smaller annexe- with a total of 209 rooms, including 20 single rooms. The Hotel Bahia del Sol was built in 1973 but completely renovated during 2002.

The main building consists of 169 rooms, which communicate with the annex building “Chico” through a covered corridor, been this last one specially thought for families with children because most of the rooms have a connecting door.

Rooms at the Bahia del Sol come equipped with full equipped bathroom with hairdryer, direct phone, radio, satellite TV, air conditioning, mini-bar, and safety box. Also, most them -those with sea view - have a terrace and some fit up to three beds. Families are welcome to stay at the annexe building "Chicco", specially equipped for them.

Breakfast is served on the buffet restaurant and includes coffees, tees and juices, cheese and ham assortment, and a wide cereal variety and egg “Show Cooking”. Lunch are dinner is are served in a buffet style but of course including more assortment.

Hotel facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with separate children’s section, furnished sun terraces and a large gym equipped with static bicycles, cross trainers and multi trainers. Also, hotel guest have at their disposal the usual 24 hour reception with a luggage rooms for late departures, public Internet terminals, a games room, laundry and medical services.

Golf tee times in the nearest courses can be arranged, and the hotel also offers bikes hire if you want to enjoy the surroundings by yourself or go with the the hotel's own professional cyclist on a guided tour.

An entertainment programme is run during the evening in the bar and includes from Flamenco Shows to live music, Cat Walk with authentic Majorcan leather or a classical Bingo.

Average rates (as per 2007): 100 Euro per double room per night on half board.
