Part of the famous Sol Melia hotel chain, the Sol Mirlos Tordos Hotel -named after 2 typhical mallorcan birds- is located at only 120 metres from the Palma Nova beach and next to the shopping, dining and entertainment areas of the resort. Built in 1971 and completely renovated during 2001, the Mirlos Tordos comprises 668 rooms distributed across 2 buildings.

They are in fact 2 different hotels, the Sol Mirlos and the Sol Tordos, each one with their own facilities but sharing the complex and some entertainment (you can wander between if you want).

All rooms are air conditioned and come equipped with fully equipped bathroom, ceiling fan, Satellite TV, direct dial telephone, safe (at an additional charge) and either balcony or terrace.

Hotel facilities include a 24 hour reception with currency exchange service, luggage rooms for late departures, medical and laundry services, public Internet terminals, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant with show cooking as well as pool bars.

Other guest facilities on offer include 2 outdoor freshwater swimming pools, archery, shooting, gym, yoga, aerobics, darts, volleyball and water-polo.

The Sol Mirlos Tordos Hotel is one of the Sol Melia Flinstone Theme establishments recommended for families, with themed areas for children, brontosaurus fillets, or special theme china and tablecloths for the youngest. The complex also runs a children’s club for children from 4 months to 17 years, divided in to different groups.

The complex also runs a seasonal programme consisting of sport activities during the day as well as dancing and professional shows & cabarets.
