The Portixol Hotel is a small, design and luxury hotel situated in the harbour of the same name, at the end of Palma's Paseo Maritimo.
The Portixol Hotel has only 24 rooms, 6 of them single and called No View, and the rest with either Port or Mediterranean View. Those both can be with or without terrace. All rooms are equipped with king size beds (singles with queen size), bathroom with shower and hairdryer, air conditioning or heating system depending on the season, TV, DVD (free library of English and Swedish films), sound system and Internet connection (included on the room rate).
The hotel will be also opening 2 Port Houses in summer 2007: duplex rooms with living room on the ground floor and solarium on the top terrace.
The Portixol boats a wide range of facilities including gym, sauna, health and beauty area, meeting rooms, wireless Internet for free on common areas, a large swimming pool with hammock area, restaurant with terrace and cocktail bar.
The hotel only works on a bed and breakfast basis, but guest are welcome to enjoy their restaurant for both lunch and dinner, which serves international and fusion food.
Room rates range: from 210 Euro to 370 Euro (per double room per night, bed and breakfast, tax included). It may have some offers during low season. Children are welcome.

Lovely hotel, views and design breathtaken.
Atmosphere relaxing and staff attend to your needs and requirements.
The meals are delicious and the service to a high standard.
Nothing can beat sitting down with a gin & tonic whilst watching the sun set.
New restaurants and bars in close range, an up and coming area of Palma.

I've been to the PORTIXOL many times and I must admit it's a great place.
While not in city center the hotel its in a great location, only a 5 minutes short ride by taxi (but you can also borrow one the bikes the hotel has available for the guest).
The staff is fantastic and always happy to help you. Gina and Javi always make me laugh!
Rooms are simple but clean and stylish. Fab views to the sea and a nice pool.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
