Very clean and tidy hotel.

Stayed july 2007. Food OK, pool very clean, bar staff not too friendly (ie: spaniard with curly hair + glasses). Childrens and staff fantastic. One named billy was magic.

Atlantic Park, nice hotel recently refurbished, rooms good.

Food not so good, very little choice. Bar staff not very helpful, in fact can be very offish. Large queues at bar.

Sorry but would not go again.

We have stayed at the Don Manolo on a number of occasions and have found it perfectly adequate.

However on our last visit it was open to 18-30s and we had an horrific two weeks and have not stayed there for 2 years.

Last year we went to have a look and it has been totally refurbished to a very high standard (the photo is now incorrect as the outside of the hotel, pool etc is totally different). There hasn't been a shop in the hotel for at least 7 years.

We are now considering staying there again but I gather the prices have increased somewhat.

We arrived as a group of 9 young males all ready to go absolutely nuts every night for a week in Magaluf. The first thing they said to us before even saying "hello" was "if you make noise, you're out!" Charming! Excellent customer service! So they do have a zero tolerance with noise/anti social behaviour which another group found out as they were asked to leave on their first night!! So good news for the more relaxed holiday makers.

Rooms were fine and cleaned daily, however be prepared to face the wrath of the cleaners if you don't get out of bed till the afternoon hours.

The pool tables were about as flat as a ski slope but football was available daily, as well as other really exciting activities. I.e. French bowls and water polo

Food at first was good, plenty of choice however does get boring after a while but you can't really expect them to change the menu considerably every day. If you don’t like fish or meat you’re pretty much stuffed!

The staff were a bit "offish" especially behind the bar but I guess it doesn't really matter because the only contact you have with them is when ordering a drink! The manager did slightly unsettle us, when reminding us constantly that the hotel was like "big brother" and they are always watching us. However after close inspection the showers were camera free!!

Entertainment was very child based, i.e. silly adults prancing about with no shame whatsoever. Worth missing although you have to sit there if you want to make the most of the open bar that’s on till midnight.

The hotel is about 5-8 mins from the main strip so you have the convenience without the noise/vomit that arises every morning in peak season.
The beach is even closer, no more than 5 mins. Water sports etc are available but are quite dear.

Taxis from the airport are 40 euros, or in our case about 28 until the cabbie pressed his magic button that was for "luggage" and topped the meter to exactly 40 euros. Amazing how they calculate the weight of our luggage!!

However come the end of our stay we actually received our first compliment which was along the lines of "thanks very much boys for being so well behaved" your welcome!

All in all a good place for Magaluf standards, especially for couples but the foods a bit crap. Hope this helps
