So... What is this all about?

Majorca Hotels Guide is the place to discover, inform and share opinions about Majorca Hotels. The aim is to end up with the most complete website and information about Majorca Hotels, so travellers can come to the website and get first hand information.

Going on holidays and booking a good hotel is usually a matter a luck. First hand information shared by independent travellers is most probably the only way to be sure what you are paying for, what to expect and what you will find there.

So if you have been at any hotel or apartment in Majorca, please leave your toughts about it and help others.

Do you provide any kind of booking services?

No, we do not. You will see booking boxes and buttons around, but those pertain to external websites and have been put there just to help you checking availability. We also think they are of the best websites where to book your holidays, but it is up to you choosing who gets your money and why.

Sometimes external websites have help us by providing valuable information such as photos or descriptions, and we think this also a good way to say thanks to them. Others are included in order to help you find the best rates available, so you can compare. But please advise that we are not responsible for the information and services provided at any external links.

I have some questions regarding a hotel, may I contact you?

While you can, we may not provide you with accurate information. We have been living in Majorca for a really long but have not visited every hotel in the island (and there are loads and loads of), so it is likely we will not be able to help you.

If you can not find the information you are looking for in the website, you are better contacting the hotel itself or the company providing the booking service.

I left a review but it does not display anywhere on the website. What happened?

In order to keep the website clean and relevant, we unfortunately need to put reviews in a queue and have a look before putting them live. This by no way means we moderate reviews we do not like, but there are some guidelines that must be followed: no all in CAPS reviews, not owners self promoting its hotels or fake reviews (cero tolerance), no personal insults... In general, they must be family friendly.

We hope you understand this is done to help you. Please be patient and your review will shown up with the rest. Usually, it's just a matter of a few hours until we can have a quick look to it and "push the button".

I am a hotel/apartment owner. How do I go to have it included in the website?

Please feel free to contact us, we are always happy to have more and more places included in to website.

To start, send us your hotel/apartment name, a impersonal brief description (please, avoid adjectives such as "the best") including facts, services, location, contact details and that stuff. Also be ready and have some photos, we will contact you asking for them.

What makes a hotel stand above the others?

Good question. It is difficult to choose which places should be listed first and which ones go above or below the others. So to avoid this problem, we left it in the hand of our visitors, which are the best ones doing the choose.

At every hotel page you will see a rating area made of 5 stars which allows anyone to vote for the hotel. Based on this votes every hotel gets and average rating, which will decide its place on the list, so top hotels are decided by visitors rating. Hotels with no votes will be listed below but with no special criteria.

I have been to a hotel which was great but I can not find it on the website. Would you include it?

Sure. Please send us some small information and a review, photos if you have, and we will put it on the website.

How do you keep the website unbiased and clean. Could not hotel owners write such as if they were guests?

We have methods to keep track of reviews and cero tolerance. If a hotel owner feels smarter than us then that's fine: be sure the hotel will be removed!
