The Markus Park Hotel is a 3 star family run hotel situated only 400 metres from the beach and at minutes walking from the Can Picafort resort centre. Built in 1972 and extensively refurbished during 2001, the hotel features 74 rooms which spread over 8 floors.
All rooms at the Hotel Markus Park are either air conditioned or centrally heated depending on the season and come equipped with fully equipped bathroom with shower and hairdryer, Satellite TV, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, electronic lock and balcony furnished with chairs and a table with views to either the sea or the pool area.
Hotel facilities include a 24 hour reception with currency exchange service, luggage room and a courtesy room with shower and towels for late departures, lifts, medical service, breakfast and dinner air conditioned buffet style restaurant serving a wide selection of both local and international dishes, and a lounge bar serving drinks and snack. Bicycles may be hired within the hotel and stored in a separate storage area.
Leisure facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with separate children's splash pool and complimentary sun loungers and parasols, SPA & Wellness area with heated indoor pool and sauna and a wel equipped gymnasium for those who can not pass without their daily training.

Stayed in the Markus Park in May and going back at end of September.
The room was large with a huge balcony (though they're not all like that) and kept very clean. Due to the design, there are no long corridors so it was quiet outside the room.
The main course food was varied and always hot - the salads and desserts were repetitive but with a decent choice.
Most guests are from mainland Europe - not many English and so reception do not do currency exchange for the pound.
There's no kiddies club and very little entertainment so the hotel is wonderfully peaceful - and there's loads of free entertainment throughout the resort. Five or so minutes walk from the beach and shops and from the resorts largest supermarket.
Book direct with the hotel (see their website)and paying 50% deposit, and they provide free transport from and to the airport - and the earlier you book the more discount you get.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a peaceful hotel close to all the resorts facilities.
