We went here in May 2010 .

The hotel was excellent, the food was great, and there was air-con in the rooms.

You people who write these reviews I'm afraid you don't know what you're talking about.

I give this hotel 100%. Thanks.

I went to Hotel Samoa with my mum and dad.

I'm 13 years old and I found this hotel amazing. The food wasn't so great but come on the entertainment staff were the best!

Lots of activities to do and night entertainment is good too, I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

I visited the Samoa back in 2007, our stay wasn't too bad (it's what you make it!).

The food wasn't too good, tried to fill the kids up but even at the ages of 5 and 2 they didn't like it so we ended up eating out most nights which we wasn't expecting as we was AI!

The rooms we're OK, only problem was the lock on the balcony door didn't work! This didn't bother me at first until the kids tried going out there on there own whist I was in show or getting dressed etc. My husband didn't understand why I was panicking so much until a week after we came home there was reports of a little girl falling off the balcony (accident waiting to happen!).

There wasn't very much to do in the area and to be honest the other hotels looked like they had more entertainment!

I would go back but definitely not with the kids and with my pockets full of cash ready to eat out everyday!

Stayed in this hotel end of Sept beginning of Oct 2009. I will never ever go there again.

Food was disgusting, spent our money in Burger King rather than eating the tripe they served up. Staff were very rude.

On 2 occasions we were woken to find a security guard routing through our suitcases and generally being very strange, We reported this but nothing was done. Anything could of happened, he was standing over my friends bed watching her sleep.

Avoid this place at all costs. I'd sooner die than go to this skanky place again.

We had an 8 year old girl with us who was petrified after the security guard incident.

Went to Samoa october 2009. Worst hotel I have ever been in.

Food disgusting, no covers over the cheese or meat in the dining room, no cover over the bread rolls in the snack bar so there flies all over them. People going down with sickness everyday. Staff in resturant not friendly at all, in the bar staff ok there.

Entertainment for kids good, rooms very basic: ours had a cracked sink, some blackmould round the bath and shower not much good either.

Would certainly not go back or recomend this hotel.

I advise you not to consider this hotel.

The food was deplorable, we in our party of 11 all came down with food poising, the flies on the food all day, same repetitive food every day.

To give this hotel 3 stars it should be reconsidered and give it 1 star. The rooms are in a poor state, the staff only clean your bedlinen once a week .

DON'T GO STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. WE REGRET EVER STAYING IN THIS HOTEL. You need a holiday after staying in this hotel from hell... ..

Utterly discusting hotel, all our family had food poisoning, the burgers had mould in them, and the bread, flies, rats, fleas.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL, it is discusting, the staff are rude, it is dirty, and the food is cold, repetitive, and absolutely discusting,WORST HOTEL EVER, BEWARE!

IT IS CHEAP FOR A REASON, AND SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!!!!!!

Went to Samoa hotel August of 2009, great place, clean, well air conditioned, great entertainment for kids, very helpful and friendly.

Staff seemed to know many languages for the guests who were staying from all over.

We are returning with the rest of our family next year!

I thought it was one of the best holidays I have been on. I met some wonderful people and I had a great time.

Our room had a lovely view of the sea and the pool area. I'm 13 years old and I was never bored. Wvery one who worked there really worked hard and were very friendly!

I would incourage anyone to go there !

Just back on 12th aug 2009.

Hotel was excellent for kids and clean, the food was OK, just same thing every day.

Only problem I had to be honoust was the hotel badly overbook. When I arrived I had no room and they try to sent you to another hotel out of town, it was like faulty towers. I went back to the Samoa hotel very next day and demanded a room which with a fuss I got.

So BEWARE OF THIS, I seen at least 15 people sent to the other hotel, take my advice if asked to go say no and speak to the manager.

A very good hotel, good fun if you can just get a room in it.

Just arrived home yesterday after 1 week stay in Samoa.

We would find it very hard to fault this hotel. Excellent location! Food great, satisfied our 6 year old as well as our 3 year old. Food was fresh and replenished swiftly. All staff were very hard working and always polite. Rooms were basic and clean( maid service daily).

Would go back and would certainly recommend to others.

Stayed at hotel for one week at the end of May 09 and although the food ok, it could have been better.

The staff were very good and always polite. Rooms are only for sleeping in, the pool and beach are great just watch out for jellyfish!

We would all (4) go back next year. I would just make sure I booked from June onwards for better entertainment as the season has properly started.

Just come back from a week (July 2009)

Had a fantastic time, food brilliant, entertainment staff worked their socks off, nice pool, we found staff friendly.

Not sure what the people giving bad reviews expect! Plastic cups are for safety. Food always replenished and huge choice! Lots of people saying best hotel they have stayed in.

Only negative thing, had family room for 2 adults and 2 kids and was tiny and hot but you can hire a fan for 2.50 a day.

Brilliant place.

Oh my goodness what a disaster!!! My partner slipped over upon arrival due to the gardener watering plants inside - no wet signs up.

Our room was damp and foisty, after three days of complaining we was finally moved rooms but only after we emptied our wet contents onto the reception desk...

This hotel was shocking, the food was awful, and the service was inadequate. My son got earache 4 days into the holiday and have since found out the pumps weren't working in the swimming pool...

So many other people we spoke to had complaints of variant natures. I would not return to this hotel under any circumstances.

Went to Samoa, said was refurbished, what a disappointment. Rooms had no air conditioning and was like walking into heat capsule.

We had two children aged 6 and 7 years. Drop from veranda at Bar had no surround and was dangerous if a child was to fall over, being a minimum 3 foot drop. Some, not all Bar staff were very aggressive in their ways and ignored children when asking for ice cream/lollies. Would not recommend.

We requested a move after 2 days and moved to much friendlier hotel, which strangely enough was run by same group.

Not suitable for families with young children

We went to the Samoa for 2 weeks in July 2001. Looks like they still haven't installed air conditioning in the rooms!

Good points: hotel is clean and rooms are adequate. Central position; 15 minutes from beach; many steps & quite steep. 2 minutes from shops/bars/restaurants; bus stop outside hotel.

Bad points: staff not very friendly & disinterested/being near to end of season not a viable excuse! Standard of food & service in dining room very poor! Limited choice & very poor replenishment of several items, sometimes certain meats burnt on outside & raw in centre. Waste of time complaining as no maitre on site.

Will not be recommending this hotel to anyone!!!

Went to Hotel Samoa in July 2007. Nice place.

Good hotel with plenty to do for adults & children. Food OK, didn't like the idea of drinks in plastic cups.

But was a nice place and would recommend to others.

Went as a late booking in September 2006 all-inclusive. Had a wonderful holiday.

Not many shops in surrounding area but buses are good and taxis reasonable.

Would definitely go again.
