Large Party from West Yorkshire, July 26, 2010 8:38 PM
We just been back to the Canarios Park Hotel and could not ask for anything more....very friendly staff, reception staff helpful, rooms and cleaners excellent fresh towels and bedding....
Weather very warm, kids enjoyed themselves and we had a party of 17.
MUM AND DAD HAD 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY so good day all round...
Jon and Stacey from Birmingham, June 26, 2010 11:06 PM
Just got back from Canarios Park today.
We had a great time with excellent weather. The staff were really friendly and the food was OK but could do with a bit more variety.
The only downside was the nightime entertainment which wasn't great.
All in all though excellent value for money and would recommend for young families as there is alot for kids to do.
Mr A. Runyard from Kings Lynn, Norfolk., June 10, 2010 9:41 PM
10/6/2010, just returned yesterday, super week, all services above expectations.
Children are the key here and they are entertained endlessly. Itzo, Sveti, Maya, Lou and Lulu were fantastic with the staff and worked non stop to entertain children and adults too.
Perfectly clean from the road in to the gateway out to the beach, rooms spotless, restaurant immaculate and food fresh and super choice. I even spoke to the manager who is trying to improve the hotel still and seems determined to do so even with the global economy at its worst. Good luck to them all.
Recommended, especially for young families, the children will love it.
Ryan from Swadlincote, June 6, 2010 9:17 AM
Loved this hotel, food lovely and a lot of choice, rooms clean, entertainment a bit poor but centred around the kids and they loved it.
Safe kids club, all enclosed so they couldn't escape, and the animation team who ran it were lovely. Only 5 minutes from the town and beach on the train, which ran regularly.
Definitely worth the money and we will be going back next year. The only downfall is that it took us 2 hours from the airport as we had several drop offs.
Ice cream and slush puppies on tap all day, as well as beer, wine, hot and cold drinks! 2 big pools and a tiny paddling pool. Park for the kids. Tennis courts, crazy golf, football pitch. This hotel has it all!
Sam from Cardiff, March 21, 2010 8:23 PM
Well, we went september and the weather was poor.
Food was bland like the same everyday, we soon got fed up with it.
I have a 11 yr old daughter and she went to kids club but she had nobody to play with because most of the children were under the age of 7.
The rooms were clean, no air condition, 1 pillow each but changed everyday.
Sunbeds were all gone by 8am, loads of wasps around the bar area and the drink machines.
Would never go there again.
Joleen from Newark, February 26, 2010 12:42 AM
Stayed here in September with my partner and 2 sons aged 5 and 8.
We had a great time, clean rooms, not bad food which you could get from morning till midnight, one good pool for young kid, and the had another a bit deeper.
Not much to do at night but kid still liked it, the hotel had a free mini train to take you to the beach and resort center which ran often all day into the evening, but if you was out late at night you could get a taxi back from town, there was always some at the rank or one would turn up in a few mins and only cost about 5 euro or about £4.
B each was so nice for kids, relaxing place Calas de Mallorca, not to little to do not to much, shops sell allsorts, some good bars, all I can say its great if you want a family holiday but not for single people that want lots of night life.
We are going back this year, and it was great for getting most places with my 5 year old as he has a wheel chair, but can walk short distances, so the train was good for going to beach as I did not have to take chair, so good for mums with push chairs to just saves you trying to get it over the sand, but could get it on if you wanted to take it.
Martin from Kent, January 13, 2010 4:48 PM
The accommodation and entertainment was excellent.
We left some money on the table and when we came back it was still there.
Miss J Calder from Essex, September 29, 2009 4:06 PM
I read some reviews before I went on this holiday, and really thought that I had made a mistake booking after all the negative comments I had read.
I got back on the 26th September 09, and had a really enjoyable time. Yes the food wasn't all that, but there was a variety of food, and catered for everyones needs, and if needs be there was always pizza and chips...
The week started off with really poor weather (lots of rain) but found that we were still able to enjoy ourselves, and were still able to get the train into Town if we wanted.
Yes the hotel wasn't right in the middle of the town, but I enjoyed my daily stroll into the town (only took 15 mins max) either along the road, or past the beach (which I must say was lovely even though the smell was awful), and if you did not want to walk the train was a refreshing change, and was free to the beach, although if you got off before the beach (only two mins to the Town on foot) the you had to pay. The train ran into the evening, so we were able to get the train in town when we went out for dinner one evening.
If anyone is thinking of visiting this hotel, I would highhly recommend it. And if you fancy an evening out, I would recommend the steakhouse, and Indian (little India, opposite Burger King) as I had a really enjoyable curry, and the best Bombay potatoes I have eaten.
Ashley from Middelsbrough, September 19, 2009 2:24 PM
I thought this hotel was fantastic.
The staff were very polite the kids really liked Alex, Ina, Miya and the rest.
The only thing that put us down was the food. having the same thing everyday. This is why we are giving at a 4 star.
Mrs Fleming from London, September 12, 2009 1:30 PM
Just returned from our trip yesterday and me & my husband both had a wonderful time. We both enjoyed the food and drink on offer and found the pool and other facilities (mini golf etc) to be excellent.
The entertainment was fine - but we only stayed for 5 nights so anything longer might get a bit repetative.
I would love to go back, the whole trip was such a bargain and I really enjoyed myself.
Colin Pole from Manchester, September 12, 2009 11:55 AM
We had a great time staff very polite in and out of office hours ie tiffany's.
Plenty of activities to do, if you want to chil out and have fun, this is the place to go.
Jacqui from Warwickshire, September 11, 2009 4:12 PM
Just got back on 9th sept 2009 from 1 week at Canarios Park hotel. I do wonder if the people that are moaning went to the same hotel ?????
I was with my daughter and 4 year old grandaughter and we were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews....... food was very good . rats???? none. Dirty ??? NOT AT ALL, in fact very clean... Staff were very friendly and helpful.
All I can say about the people who moan about the location [WHICH SUITED US] is do some research before you book your holiday. If you want a 5 star holiday then pay more for your holiday and thats not to say you will be satisfied then if you like to moan.
Sharron Julian from Cornwall, September 9, 2009 1:34 PM
Just got back from Canarios Park me and my husband went there for a week.
We had a great time food was good only fault was they could do with putting labels above the food so you knew what you was eating. Hotel very clean staff very friendly and helpful. Rural area although not far from local towns, perfect for family breaks. Children activities fantastic, adults entertainment not very good.
Weather great. Could do with air con thou and it would make it a 5 star hotel.
Dave Stamper from Liverpool, September 2, 2009 10:07 PM
Excellent hotel for families food was fantastic and varied enough for everyone, even my 3 fussy children. pools cleaned everyday, miniclub staff really helpful.
Bargain hotel, food available till 11 and drink till midnight.
Mr Nunns from Leeds, August 31, 2009 2:48 PM
Booked the holiday last minute and then read some poor reviews and started to doubt things but how wrong we were.
We had a fantastic holiday, the hotel was immaculate, food brilliant and all staff so helpful we could not have asked for any more.
The only one downside was there was no air/con. I cannot believe people can post bad reviews.
There is no doubt that we will be back.
Emily from London, August 25, 2009 3:15 PM
I thought that the staff at the reception were not very helpful, I asked several times for an adapta plug and the woman I asked said no, my friend then asked and a different guy gave us one.
Other than that I was quite pleased with my stay, although the food was sometimes not to my liking however to bar staff are really friendly and welcoming to guests.
Spencer Bayley from Redditch, July 13, 2009 10:35 AM
Just got back had a great time hotel was immaculate, rooms were a little dated and needed aircon.
Food was great with a varied selection, beach was about a 10 minute walk but is worth going to as the sea is crystal clear. Lots of activities for kids and adults.
Would definitely go back.
Jackie from Anonymous, July 1, 2009 1:18 AM
Can I just say we visited Canarios Park from the 23 June 2009 until 30th June 2009 and we had a great time.
Before I left I sent a few emails saying I was not happy with bad reports, but can you please bring this message to the attention of you manager.
1. Staff very friendly.
2. Kids club excellent and the staff worked so hard.
3. rooms clean and happy with cleaners.
4. Kitchen staff worked so hard in the restaurant and food was good.
I could not ask any more from the staff they asked on several occasions if everything OK.....they even printed my emails off what I had sent.
Can I just say a big thank you to you all.... I would come back to this hotel again, but would also consider visiting the other HSM hotel due to me being impressed...
Miss Dannii Kazee & Mr Aarron Jones from Birmingham, June 28, 2009 4:17 PM
We stayed in this hotel for one week from 15th June - 22nd June 2009.
The hotel and bedrooms were very clean. Sports complex and multiple swimming pools were very good. Plenty to do in the day as always activities to join in with.
Mini train to town is a good idea however could do with running later in the evening to the bars, as entertainment is boring with bingo every night especially for the younger generation from 18yrs +. Very good for kids but not so for adults.
Staff ok, English not brilliant but did try to help. Restaurant was very clean however food a little repetitive especially lunch and dinner we survived on chips and pasta could do with more variety. Little town and nice beach about 20 mins away on train.
All in all a great holiday, get what you pay for, good value for money... would go back!
Steve Best from South Shields, June 23, 2009 6:59 PM
My wife and I have just returned from a 10 day break at this hotel.
We found the staff very friendly and courteous. The menu was OK but could do with an overhaul. Sometimes good but on most occasions my wife ate salads (which were very good but a bit boring).
Activities for kids were great, the mini club is quite impressive, but for older clients, a quiet bar (which only opened on Saturday nights for locals) would have been a godsend.
All in all not a bad holiday. Lets face it, you get what you pay for, good value for money.
Kizzy Stanney from Boston Lincolnshire, June 17, 2009 11:07 PM
Got back from Canarios Park on 9th June 09. Family of four two children age 4 and 2.
Weather was pleasant, had a couple of really hot days just right with 2 small children really hotel was clean maid service good.
Food was good, got a bit fed up with it tho after a week. Lovely holiday tho entertainment not good for adults, not that we would have got to see much as kids got tiered early.
Location really lets it down as it took us bout 30-40 mins to walk to centre.
We're going back to Samoa next year, right in centre. Wouldn't go back to Canarios but only because of location. Ok if you have no children but if you pay all inclusive you don't want to have to go out to find entertainment and spend money on food and drink,
Jean/John Ramsey from Blyth Northumberland, June 14, 2009 10:30 PM
We have just returned from your hotel on the 13/06/09 and was very impressed with the whole set up, rooms were very clean and tidy the food was excellent very well prepared and served, something for everybody.
We only had one complaint and that was the so-called evening entertainment, it was pathetic. Fine for children but not adults, and bingo every nite "yuc".
We also think the large indoor bar should be open at night so the older persons do not have to endure the childish entertainment.
Overall very nice.
Mrs Susan Lambert-Gregory from Bromley, Kent, June 8, 2009 3:42 PM
Booked this hotel as a last minute holiday in June 2009.
What a surprise to find a clean pleasant hotel. Staff were friendly and the maid service was brill. Food was what you would expect, always something for everyone and restaurant was very clean. Entertainment ws sparse but we were at the beginning of the season.
The train that takes you to the shops and beach was great but could do with running later for those who want to go shopping or to the bars in the evening.
Having 2 pools made a great difference as activities in 1 and leisure in the other - both good size with bars and food.
Although it still needs a bit of TLC (carpets are in need of replacing and no air-con that I could see in rooms) I would definately go back. Perhaps in September 2009!
Michelle from Wales, February 22, 2009 12:19 PM
Went to Canarious Park last August, and what can I say, overall had a good family holiday.
We went all inclusive which was a good idea cause things could have worked out really expensive, the food was nice, the kids lived on spag boll or pizza for a fortnight, they loved it and that was always there but had lots of other choice for them. Sometimes the food was cold and I had to warm it up but depending on what time u went for food.
The entertainment was great through the day with fun darts and water polo, and a few other games which kept kids and adults busy all day, but once night comes it's a very different thing. The kids disco is the same every night and lasts about half hour and then the entertainers do their thing and even though they work hard, sometimes it just was boring, many of nights I went to town after food or would go and sit near play area where kids loved being.
A major problem was lack of English from staff, they did not have a clue which I think needs addressing badly when it's the Brits that stay there mostly.
All in all if your going then be prepared but for me and my family it was a nice break.
Jane Burksfield from Aylesbury, January 25, 2009 1:26 PM
Don't know what people are moaning about.
My friend and I went with our 2 11 year olds last May and we had a great time, no complaints.
We are going again this May 2009.
Peter & Tracy from Stockton-on-Tees, October 16, 2008 6:50 PM
Just got back thank god I was wishing the days away.
The hotel and surrounding location was okay, but the thing that spoilt the holiday was the irresponsible parents who take their children on holiday when they should be at school, then they let them run riot 24/7 with no regard for other guests.
Staff would benefit with a smile now and then.
Never go towards the end of the season (very little entertainment), the closest bars were a 20 min walk.
All in all it was a waste of time.
Martin from Kent, July 23, 2008 5:50 PM
Food was lovely, nice pool and friendly staff.
Will def go back again!
Mr Kenneth Parr from Nottingham, July 10, 2008 10:57 AM
Stayed there in June 2008 and had a lovely time.
Hotel-rooms very clean. Overall a very nice hotel for a 3 star .
Mr Che from Manchester, June 6, 2008 8:19 PM
Hotel was lovely, I had a brilliant holiday. Going again in July. 5 star.
Mrs J Worboyes from Canvey Island, Essex, January 8, 2008 7:56 PM
The hotel was not nice at all, we were left in the middle of nowhere.
The food was horrible, there was one bar open with all the people in the hotel. The time we had was queuing for drinks.
The rooms are dirty, never again
