Located directly above the sea and at only 20 meters from the Cala Ferrera beach, the 3 star Cala Ferrera Hotel offers a total of 160 rooms -including 5 suites- built over 5 floors and surrounded by 1,000 square metres of gardens and sun terraces. Built in 1972, the hotel suffered a major renovation during 2001. The hotel is close -at about 10 minutes walking- to the Cala d'Or commercial area with bars and restaurants.

Rooms come all equipped with come en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, Satellite - Cable TV, Internet access, hire safe box and balcony. Rooms with sea views can be booked by request, as well as connected rooms.

Guest facilities at the Cala Ferrera include a 24 hour reception area, along with a games room, air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, luggage room for late departures, laundry and medical services. The hotel has facilities for the handicapped.

The hotel offers its guests a swimming pool and a separate children's pool, as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers, parasols and pool side snack bar.

Sports such as table tennis and billiards may also be played (at an extra charge) at the hotel. A golf course can be found only 4 km away from the hotel.

On the beach, diving and windsurfing as well as other sports can be found and there is also pedalo hire. Bikes can be also hired and

An entertainment programme rounds off the leisure offers, including sporting activities organised by their resident animation team including rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics.

Evening entertainment consists of a children's mini disco, and after that adults are welcome to enjoy live shows such as cabaret or live music.

We very much enjoyed this hotel.

Staff very friendly and the hotel very clean, rooms cleaned everyday. Food was very good with so much choice.

Our room was okay in size and we had 2 adults and 2 older children in the room. To be honest only time we went to the room was for a shower, change and then to sleep. No air con but we knew that before we booked. I never saw anywhere where it stated air con. Did get rather hot in the rooms on a night but we were 4 floors up so could keep the balcony door open (I know some people couldn't too low down and with small children so this wouldn't of been possible).

The pool isn't huge but plenty big enough and never got packed. We never had trouble getting a lounger and never over crowded around the pool.

Snacks though out the day very tasty. It does state one drink per person at a time but within a day or two even if you order 4 than that's no problem.

Will be going back to this hotel, found it was lovely and everyone we spoke to said the same very nice hotel. We met some very nice people there and found everyone very friendly.

i have just arrived back home from an all inclusive 10 night holiday to hotel Cala Ferrera.

This hotel advertises that it has air conditioning in all rooms - THIS IS NOT TRUE. The rooms are absolutely red hot, i found it impossible to get ready for the evening as it was just too hot. The rooms are basic and too small for a family of 4. We had 3 beds and a cot in our room, leaving no room to get into the wardrobe.

The all inclusive basis was okay - you could only get one drink per person at any time so you couldn't go to the bar and get one for yourself and someone else.

There were only cheap ice lollies for the children - anything else had to be paid for.

Entertainment was rubbish - mini disco lasted 20 minutes which played the same 6 songs every evening.

Mini Club - all there was to do was colour, nothing else was organised except one day they did T-Shirt Painting which we had to pay 10 Euros for.

The one thing that I must praise the hotel for are the cleaners, our rooms was left tidy, clean and fresh towels everyday.

After saying this we did make the most of our holiday and had a lovely time.

The hotel is in such a perfect location with beautiful scenary and gorgeous beach.
