We went in September and are an adult couple. I too read all the reviews prior to traveling and was definitely quite worried.

The good points: the hotel, pools and rooms are kept clean at all times and the food was good and had a good variety with themed nights. We had a premier room and had plenty of space and a queen size bed and flat screen TV. If you wanted the safe, TV or a kettle you had to pay. This is not a hotel for peace, quiet, relaxation and a romantic break - if you are a family then this is probably a good place to come - but not for couples.

The lifts are always busy and mainly too small, we were lucky and were only on the 4th floor so were able to walk if we did not want to wait - it did not help with kids playing in them - where were their parents!!!

We booked on line for the first time and all went smoothly with the booking and the private transfers. The 3 hotels were full upon our arrival and the amount of people and CHILDREN was unbelievable, you could not find a quite spot anywhere.

We had no problem getting sunbeds, although if you did want one around the pools you would have to get up with the rest of the sad people early to reserve one - I personally think this is wrong and unfare especially as the hotel has signs up asking people not to put chairs on their sunbeds to reserve them. Speaking of sunbeds, these are probably the most uncomfortable ever as they have no cushions and you just lay on the slatted plastic and the backs are not adjustable.

The restaurant is very noisy and chaotic and reminds me of a cross between a school canteen and motorway services - do not expect a quiet romantic dinner. We booked several trips through the club house and these were very good and the staff there were very helpful. The evening entertainment was very good, although you would have to be there early (by 7pm) if you wanted a table, as later on all that was left was the arena style seats. The staff worked really hard with the day and night entertainment.

The free buses to the beach and port were good, but again you had to queue for ages. The holiday ended up being run by your watch in order to be places to avoid the rush hours - early to the restaurants etc. There were large queues at the entertainment arena for drinks all night.

The last 3 days we had terrible storms and the complex was not at all geared up for the bad weather. The entertainment was bought in side into areas completely too small for the vast numbers of people and this made the area unbearably noisy, cramped and uncomfortable, made worse by people letting the children run around and scream, knocking tables etc.

The communication from the staff regarding the change in locations and entertainment was bad and they appeared not to know what was going on. When it rains the complex has no where for you to go inside other than the lobby/reception rooms of each hotel. If you do not want to join in with the kids clubs or adult entertainment in these areas or want some where quiet to read etc there is absolutely no where to go!

On our last day they decided to close one of the hotels as it was nearing the end of season and this made the other public places even more crowded and unbearable, they even closed the outside bars and Burger Bar, even more limiting the places to go and the number of people queuing. We had terrible rows with the reception staff to try and keep our room for the day on our departure, they blatantly lied to our faces - so it was a bad end to our holiday. I appreciate the staff and hotel cannot control the weather, but they should have provisions in place for when it rains.

I do have to agree with many of the other reviews on the calibre of people at the hotel. It was at least 95% British and of this the majority of guests were northern or Scottish. I do not wish to band all northern or Scottish people into one - but upon my experience here they were nearly all very loud and rude, no manners, they allowed their children to run riot and scream all day long - the men were easily identifiable by their tattoos of their families names (can they not remember them or there birthdays!!) or bulldogs etc - it was like a Chav Council Estate,

I know i may sound like a snob, but it was mainly the guests that spolit this complex. Basically i will never ever go there again and would not recommend it to any adults or couples.

It is a very bad advert for all inclusive, as on our last few days we could not get food when we wanted it as they closed so many areas down.

Been to jupiter hotel in August 2009 and wasn't impressed at all!

The place was far too busy and I had to wait 20 minutes at the bar for drinks. The
rooms and balcony were very small for a family of four and the food was
average.

The place had been over booked and customers were asked to change
holidays. I jumped at the chance!

The entertainment area was good but it
was hard to get a seat.

I am just back from these hotels on the 10/07/09. I must say this has been my third time at these hotels.

I have felt that over the past few years there has been a huge change to the hotels, which is great.

But I must say I was a bit dissapointed with the entertainment that was provided at night. To be honest the only nights entertainment that I enjoyed was A Tribute to the Musicals, Performed by Club Mac Staff.

In the past years that I have been to these hotels from what I can Remember it was staff who put shows on every night and they were great. Grease, Rocky Horror Picture Show and so on. I really thought these were better than the shows in which I saw this time round. And customers even got the chance to perform in these too.

For the hotels being ALL INCLUSIVE I do feel that there is a lot of attractions that you still need to pay for. I personally think this could be limited, and that the staff could do a lot more activity throughout the day. Things like mini football tournaments, tennis teams, a small afternoon show or something in the afternoon...

As there is like nothing from 12 in the afternoon until the Bingo at night for adults to enjoy.

Overall I enjoyed this holiday and will be back to the hotels as all the staff are friendly and I enjoy the scenery too.

My family have stayed here around five or six times over the past seven year, we have always found Club Mac to be exceptional in all aspects, entertainment, service, pools, rooms, room cleanliness, food, and overall customer satisfaction.

ClubMac cannot vet its residents and neither can we, so live and let live, buy a book and chill at the beautiful beach.

Had a good time at Club Mac Marte, just got back Tuesday. Went for two weeks and it was a bit to long.

First week was OK just nice and not to busy, 2nd week they opened the third hotel because it was high season and with same amount of staff it was crazy. Massive queues and less staff only 3 bars opened outside and only 1 restaurant at lunch time but don't be put of. Pools were brill and entertainment in the evening was well good for kids and all.

If I was to go back it would have to be out of high season.

I went to this hotel in September 2007 and I am going back there in 2 weeks time.

Great food, lovely staff, endless drinks, kids loved it.

I hate the way people slag this place off - you get what you pay for!

My holiday in Hotel Jupiter was very good,

I really enjoyed it, it was one of the best holiday's that i have been on. They have like a fair and park, it is such an enjoyable holiday to be honest.

The entertainment was brilliant especially for the children, they include them in a lot of the things they do.

I do recommend for someone to go there. I hope to go back sometime soon.

Just gotten back from a week in the Jupiter hotel in this complex.

After reading the previous reviews AFTER I'd booked it, I was expecting a horror story, thankfully, I couldn't have been further from the mark.

Food: plentiful, hot enough, and restocked regularly, a bit of a queue at peak times, but nothing over 5 minutes waiting outside the dining hall, themed days worked well, with the staff all garbed suitably.

Food included, pasta's, pizza, paella, different fishes, various pork/veal combinations, chicken things, plenty of salad stuff, chips.

Three main meal times, with snacks available in between, and burgers/hotdogs/chips available between 10pm and Midnight, for those after beer munchies. :)

Room: Had a family - two bedroomed setup on the 9th floor, (7 lifts, 1 out of action most of the week) cleaned and beds made daily, sheets changed on request via pre-made card placed on bed.

Two TVs, front room, and kids room, both were a linked Pay Per View, €3/day or €17ish for the week, had Sky Sports 1/2, Movies, Disney, kept the kids quiet while the missus and I had a siesta in the other room mid-afternoon.

Balcony overlooking the street, rather than the rest of the complex, not the worst view in the world, but not a sea view, but definitely not unpleasant.

Drinks:

Alcohol: San Miguel in small glasses/plastic cups, no Cerveza Grande's here, but can order as many as you like.

Same goes for the spirits, any spirit you can think of, and any cocktail you can dream up - presuming you can explain the ingredients to the staff, there's no cocktail menus. All spirits non-branded, but not bad with mixers.

Queues for the bars sometimes took 10 minutes to clear.

Non-alcoholic: Pepsi/light, 7-Up, Lemon, Orange, multiple flavours of "slush", coffee machines in hotel lounges, with semi-reasonable (so the wife says) tea bags provided.

Pools/Sun Beds:
Pools weren't overly busy, but the sun loungers with the best locations (ie nearest the bars) got snapped up fairly early in the day, but there were nearly always places available if you spent 5 minutes searching.

Entertainment:
Daytime: Too busy drinking, sunbathing by the pool and reading my book to notice, but I heard the reps organising various sporting events, such as volleyball, darts, erm wasn't listening too hard to be honest.

Evening:
Movie shown every night for the kids, nothing massively recent, but enjoyable never-the-less, likes of Night at the Museum, Monster's Inc, Shark's Tale.

"Circus" - amphitheatre area, kids 'mini disco' at 8pm (never attended, can't comment), plenty of seats for the evening show, which on the nights we attended were a Beatles tribute from Russia, a magician, whose acts were too small to see from the outer circle seats, Vanessa Mae tribute violinist/dancers and a Britney Spears tribute (which I personally thought was awful, both because it being BS, and because it was awful). For those so-inclined, there was a Euro prize bingo every night at 9:15, €2 a ticket, line prize was usually in the region of €115, with full house around the €400 mark.

In the other lounges there was usually a different music duet, which again wasn't the best, but didn't have me rushing for the earplugs either.

All-inclusive yet Non-included stuff: (that I can remember)
Pool tables: €1.50
Motorised Cars: €5
Bungie Jump Trampolines: €5
Pedalo's: €5 (I think) - after 12:30, free before
Inflatable Ball you run across the lake inside of: €5 (funny as heck, recommended)
Crazy Golf: €10 (I think) deposit, returned on return of clubs and ball.

There's a hotel bus every 30 minutes to take you to and from the beach, which is otherwise a 20 minute walk, though not a straight forward one, so taking the bus is recommended.

Only a couple of downsides that I observed:
The Burger hut near the pool/lakeside area was closed all week.

I couldn't convince the guy doing the fried eggs at breakfast NOT to turn the bloody things over!

But the most annoying, and the only thing to let the week down a bit, the corridor facing walls were paper thin, and people coming and going along the tiled corridor, at all hours of the night, was bad enough, but the freakishly loud doors slamming shut was quite a downer.

That aside, I am glad I went, and was pleasantly surprised at how much it differed from all the negative comments I had read about it, but that could be because of the re-branding and stuff that apparently happened at the beginning of this season.

My self and my partner stayed in this hotel in2006, with my two children aged then 16yrs and 11yrs.

This was the worst holiday I'd ever been on. There was poo in the wash-hand bas in the reception toilets, poo in the pool they closed it down to clean, so we used the other one, came back down the next day when the pool was reopened, and there was still poo in the pool, plus cockroaches in it.

One night people decided to throw melon's from high up in the hotel, don't know how it missed us. Same night a group of lads through the tables and chairs into the pool, and it was like pram-land, awful.

We stayed in the family room of the "Jupiter" - sister hotel to the "Club Mac"- in June 2007.

As I was 6 months pregnant I was able to relax knowing that my 2 girls were having fun with so much for them to do all day and in the evening.

The food was great, the rooms were clean and the entertainment was OK too.

Would definitely go back again!!

We were a family of three age range 28/33 & age 2.

We stayed here in May and it was fantastic clean, lovely grounds, food could get boring but well worth the £450 we paid for a week!

Entertainment was good for adults and children, staff were pleasant. I would go again in May but would not like to go in the 6 week holidays as I can imagine it would be like a riot lol.

You get what you pay for! Good value for money!

This hotel is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, clean and tidy, only down side is that you have to tip the maids to get your beds changed. Stayed for a week and didn't want to come home.

Beaches were like paradise as they were spotless with clear water.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday there and had a great time.

Stayed in family room in Saturno, which was very clean, and cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets when requested.

Staff constantly going round complex cleaning, and do a good job.

Entertainment staff are great, there is always something going on to occupy you if you want to join in.

Wide choice of great food in the restaurants, can always find something to suit all tastes. Can be noisy due to size, and people not controlling their kids.

Very lively complex, so avoid if you want a quiet holiday, otherwise you should have a great time.

We spent most days at the lovely beach. Would not recommend it at all unless you would like a Butlins in the sun!

Just arrived home after a two week stay. It was my third visit to Club Mac.

I must say all the entertainment team are fantastic, we had terrible weather, everyone sat in the hotel most nights and no entertainment indoor. One night there was a 3 peace band playing to empty tables and chairs every one was inside because it was pouring with rain. They need moor things going on indoors when weather is bad.

Rooms are cleaned every day, food very good, daytime entertainment very good for families. 3 hotels and only two restaurants a bit overcrowded.

Stayed 1 week in August 07 & going back again this August.

- Food OK & plenty of it.
- Hotel rooms small & basic but most important they are clean.
- What I liked best was that the kids were content in the various pools throught out the day & the evening entertainment was good for them. They really loved it.

Would recommend, good value for money.

It is the 1st time as a family we have stayed all inclusive and I am glad we did. Food good with lots of variety. We where lucky to have glorious weather, so made the most of the pools and out-door activities.

Would gladly recommend it to any family, but not those couples looking for a quite romantic break !

I stayed there in june 2007.

The food was nice and the entertainment was brilliant. The only problem with the hotel/s being so big is that there are never enough seats at the entertainment arena (unless you missed your meal and got there early).

I prefer a much smaller hotel where you are treated as an individual, but overall me and my daughter had a fabulous holiday.

You can't get a better hotel for kids and families. The food was fantastic, too much food to choose from the choices you had were great.

I've been there this summer '06 and it's worth the money you pay for.

Do not expect the food to be fab, but it meets the standards for a cheap all inclusive place.

The enternainment program is OK, specially the children's one.

The pools are also OK, and the rooms are clean and simple.
